Join Us for the Grand Reopening of Starr Records at Oh Yeah: Celebrating National Album Day in '90s Style!

We are so excited to welcome our new tenants Starr Records to Oh Yeah! The much loved Belfast record store will be stationed downstairs in the main venue, open from 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday.

The Oh Yeah team are delighted to have Starr Recordings making the centre their new home and we know that many of our regular visitors will be happy to have the chance to pick up some shiny new vinyl whenever they call in.

Charlotte Dryen, CEO of Oh Yeah Music Centre said, ‘‘ We’re delighted to welcome Starr Records and wish them every success. It's brilliant to have a local independant store take up space in Oh Yeah. It makes perfect sense given the venue is visited by music fans on a daily basis and we look forward to welcoming their loyal customers to their new home. I'm bringing my 10 year old son along to the opening on Saturday to buy him his first record, something as a parent I think I may feel quite emotional about!"

Starr Records’ reopening will be this Saturday, 14th October from 10am and it will coincide with National Album Day which is dedicated to the 90s this year! There will be plenty of 90s vinyl in stock as well as DJs spinning classic hits to set the vibe.

There will also be a special competition for kids to take part in Starr’s annual calendar competition. The competition is free to enter and will run from 12-3pm with two age categories for children 3-7 and 8-13. Parents can bring along a 90s album for the kids to work from or else there will be plenty of inspiration available in the store. Special prizes for the winners but each participant will receive something small for taking part.

You can sign up for the competition here - remember to book tickets for each child as well as the accompanying adults.
