Job Opportunity: Youth Engagement Manager

The Youth Engagement Manager will be an excellent organiser, communicator and project coordinator that is passionate about the power and impact that music can have.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive to plan and deliver impactful youth and family-oriented music projects. Aligned with Oh Yeah’s mission, ‘Open Doors to Music’, this role ensures that young people of all backgrounds can access, participate in, and progress within music.

Through tailored programs, the Youth Engagement Manager will support young people at all levels—from beginners to those aspiring to develop professional careers in music. 

Outreach initiatives will focus on building confidence, fostering community relations, enhancing skills, and promoting inclusivity. Targeted projects will also address mental health, wellbeing, and minority youth engagement.

Key Projects & Priorities

  • Volume Control & OCN Delivery – Youth-led live music events & accredited learning

  • Elevate – Supporting emerging young artists & creatives

  • Future Sounds of Belfast – Instrument provision, tuition and performance

  • Youth Outreach Partnerships – Expanding community-based projects through provision of programmes such as More Volume.

  • Acoustic Picnic & Youth Open Mic – Regular youth-friendly music events

  • Youth Advisory Board – Engaging young people in decision-making
