Oh Yeah Become First NI Venue To Win Music Week Grassroots Venue: Spirit Of The Scene Award

Everyone at the Oh Yeah Centre was delighted to receive the Music Week Grassroots Venue: Spirit Of The Scene Award last week at the ceremony at JW Marriot Grosvenor House in London.

Chosen from a shortlist of 10 venues from all over the UK, the prestigious award was publicly voted, making it all the more special.

The Oh Yeah Centre is community driven and dedicated to opening those doors to music for everyone and this award reflects just that.

“Live music makes a huge collective economic and social contribution to our lives, and we are so proud to bring this home to Northern Ireland.” Charlotte Dryden, CEO of Oh Yeah said receiving the accolade.

Everyone at the venue would like to thank all who voted and all who have come through our hub over the years and continue to do so. We could not have done it without you.

This week, Charlotte spoke to Music Week about the win and what it means, while also highlighting the importance of grassroots venues.
