For the first time ever, Ratos de Porão is coming to Northern Ireland!
After over four decades of relentless punk, hardcore, and crossover thrash, the legendary Brazilian band will finally bring their energetic sound to Belfast. Catch them on Thursday, 29th May 2025, at Oh Yeah Music Centre for a night of pure aggression and raw energy.
Formed in 1981, Ratos de Porão has shaped the underground scene in Brazil and beyond with albums like "Crucificados Pelo Sistema" (1984), "Brasil" (1989), "Anarkophobia" (1991) and their latest release, "Necropolítica" (2022). With João Gordo (vocals), Jão (guitar), Juninho (bass), and Boka (drums), their lineup has remained unchanged for over two decades, delivering explosive performances worldwide.
Joining them on the night are two of Belfast’s finest underground acts.
Frayed Ends BC delivers a powerful mix of old-school punk, D-Beat, and modern metal. Formed in lockdown, they quickly built a name in the Irish hardcore scene with their intense live performances. The band features Eddie Cross (vocals), Steve Martin (guitar, backing vocals), Robbie Beckett (guitar), Zac McBride (bass), and Deane Montgomery (drums).
The New Normal brings raw punk energy with an alternative edge, making waves in the Belfast scene with their explosive shows and debut EP, "Not Yours" and subsequent several singles. Their lineup includes Cathy Lewis (vocals), Paul Buckby (guitar), Carlin Brown (bass), and Neil Woodside (drums).
