Belfast Music Evening Walk Cathedral Quarter

  • 2 Royal Avenue 2 Royal Avenue Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 1DA United Kingdom (map)

Take this 90-minute evening tour with Creative Tours Belfast to be introduced to Belfast’s rich music scene and heritage, on a guided tour focused mainly in the city’s Cathedral Quarter. You’ll hear about some of the city’s music legends, past and present, across a wide range of genres and see why Belfast is such a rich music city, worthy of its designation as a UNESCO City of Music.

The tour will begin in the foyer of 2RA, one of the city’s newest cultural venues, and will also take in historic pubs, Belfast’s oldest church building that is linked to Belfast’s first music festival in 1792, open air performance spaces, and our main arena venues, plus the Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast’s own dedicated music hub.

Your guide will help you to understand Belfast’s rich musical heritage and the city’s different musical traditions and their roots. You will hear stories about iconic music moments, characters and local legends - past and present – accompanied by a varied soundtrack of music clips as part of the tour playlist.

Your guide will give recommendations for what’s on that evening, and you may choose to stay on afterwards in the Cathedral Quarter to enjoy a meal, drink or gig.

This tour starts outside 2 Royal Avenue.
