The NÓS Awards are coming back in 2025 to celebrate the success of singers who make music in Irish.
The 2024 NÓS Awards were the first awards ceremony organised by NÓS since the pandemic and the grand event is returning in 2025 for the seventh time. The Awards will be presented to musicians at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in central Belfast, on Friday 21 February. The public nomination process is now accepting submissions.
Huartan won the 'News of the Year – Rónáin Mhic Aodha Bhuí Award' and Súil Mháin and Rob Mulhern took home 'Song of the Year' with 'An Murda Máchin' at the Black Box event at the beginning of the year.
Nine awards will be presented at the 2025 NÓS Awards: two more awards than we had in 2024. The judging committee decided to separate 'Band/Musician of the Year' between individual musicians and groups of two or more.
People are asked to submit their suggestions for the 2025 NÓS Awards here by January 3, 2025.
The shortlist will be published a month before the Awards when the judges have made a decision based on the nominations submitted.
