Breaking Into Music is a Creative Industries Day curated by the Oh Yeah Music Centre as part of the annual Sound of Belfast Festival in November.

Schedule:

9:00 am - Registration + Breakfast  - CATERING - 

9:30 am - Opening remarks from Pricilla / Tony Harlowe with Video from Rio Ferdinand

10:00 am - Panel 1 - Foot in the Door - How to get started in the music industry with Jen (BBC 6 Music), Gemma Bradley (BBC ATL), Alicia Raye, OJ & Nikki Riggon.

10:55 am -  Changeover

11:00 am -  Panel - NETWORKING - with Sian Mullholland, Tony Moore, Ben Magee (New Champion Management), Saul Duffin (YEO Magazine).

12 noon   - Networking lunch – Performance HOT BOX Young People

1:00 pm - Workshops:

‘Can you hear me now?’ A panel and information session for young musicians and producers on how to get their music heard. Advice on radio play, digital platforms and promotional tips.

‘Setting the Stage’. An interactive session setting the main performance space in Oh Yeah up for a soundcheck.

‘Social Media and Digital Platforms for your creative project’.

2:00 pm – Workshops:

‘HYMN Creative Mental Health’.

‘Rocky Start Together Recording Studio. ’ Introduction to the studio.

‘DJ Basics’

3:00 pm - Close with a performance from an Irish Hip Hop artist
