Old Crows Promotions Presents: New Pagans // Virgins // Klyda

  • Oh Yeah Music Centre 15-21 Gordon Street Belfast United Kingdom (map)

Old Crows are super excited to bring you this absolutely massive line up and one of their biggest to date!

New Pagans need no introduction but here we go:

New Pagans are a rock band based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. They have released their two critically acclaimed albuma to date; The Seed, The Vessel, The Roots and All and Making Circles of Our Own via Big Scary Monsters. Throughout their work, New Pagans use their creative influence to challenge past and present issues surrounding relationships, equality, history, and gender, all wrapped up in their alternative, post-punk, indie rock style. This coupled with multiple tours across the UK and Europe including stints supporting Skunk Anansie earned them glowing accolades in press. Easily one of Ireland's best bands, not one to be missed!

Virgins

Virgins are one of the most exciting bands to come out of Ireland in recent times. A Belfast based shoegaze band that have quickly established themselves as a live force and a rising name locally, nationally and internationally, selling records all over the globe.

Following on from the sold-out pressing (200) of EP Transmit a Little Heaven they recently released a new, much anticipated gaze-pop single, s l o w l y, l o n g. The single marks the first collaborative writing effort from the band and finds them embracing pop-centric melodic influences as much as the multitude of fuzz and reverb pedals that adorn their pedalboards.

The releases received considerable media and radio coverage; Dan Hegarty, BBC Across The Line and shoegaze radio station DKFM championed the band along with The Last Mixed Tape, Nialler 9, Hot Press, Chordblossom, The Thin Air, Dig With It and Japan based Portal Zine all showing appreciation for the release. The EP made its way into various end of year lists including Chordblossom’s Top 25 albums and Top 50 songs, Shoegaze Blog Top 20 releases of 2022 and Destroy/Exists Top 10 Ep’s of the year.

The band spent 2022/23 gigging relentlessly including a 6 date headline UK tour in November 2022 and a short Irish tour in April 2023. This led to slots at the Button Factory, Dublin, Set Theatre, Kilkenny and headline slots at GazeFest in both Belfast and Dublin. The band supported Bleach Lab and Bdrmm on their Irish tours.

Klyda

The future of Belfast's burgeoning music scene! Klyda have been honing their sound over a bunch of shows all over NI, including HMV, Oh Yeah Centre and The Nerve Centre. High energy shows that involve as much crowd participation as they do riffs!
