LIVE TRUST ANNOUNCES PHASE ONE FUNDING

Our Volume Control programme will be getting a boost thanks to the LIVE Trust’s Phase One Funding.

Phase One funding has been designed to put money directly into programmes that support the entire grassroots ecosystem, from artists to festivals and venues, through to promoters, production and talent pipelines.

LIVE Trust are proud to be funding 7 programmes that share their objectives and help them on their mission to protect, expand and support grassroots music across the UK.

The funding will go towards Volume Control Enhanced. LIVE Trust said of the funding:

‘Volume Control is an existing project that works to sustain, enhance and help us reach more young people. This investment will strengthen and future-proof Belfast’s grassroots live music scene by developing young people as artists, audiences, and industry professionals. The programme will educate, inspire, and support participants to understand how live music ecosystems work, while gaining practical experience in event delivery, venue operations, promotion, and artist support.’

LIVE Trust chair, Kirsty McShannon said, “This truly is a landmark moment for the Trust as
this first phase of funding is delivered to our partners. Their plans are exciting and will
deliver real, lasting change for artists, venues, promoters, festivals and the next generation
of crew across the UK. With an ever-increasing number of tours coming on board, we hope
and expect that this demonstration of what the Trust is all about, will mean even more
supporters joining the cause.”
